Abby Davisson
Director, Career Strategy & Programs
I lead a talented team charged with helping our network of 30,000+ emerging leaders connect to careers that make a difference. I bring to this work lessons learned from directing my own cross-sector career path as well as from serving as a career advisor and coach at Stanford's Graduate School of Business.
Prior to joining Net Impact, I contributed to social innovation efforts at a foundation, a clothing retailer, and the nation’s largest school district. I began my career as a nonprofit strategy consultant with The Bridgespan Group. Outside of work, I serve on Year Up Bay Area’s Leadership Council and enjoy anything and everything food-related. I have a BA in history from Yale University and an MBA and MA in Education from Stanford University.
The best advice I ever got was:
From Julia Child: Always start out with a larger pot than what you think you need.
The most satisfying thing about my work is:
Knowing I’m helping others find their dream jobs.
What surprises me most about my career path is:
Luck and chance have been just as important as all of my planning and intentionality.
