Mindee Kashiwagi
Director, Community Marketing
I lead the community marketing and campaign efforts at Net Impact.
My career path is an example of how the dots connect looking backwards. After volunteering in Cameroon with the Peace Corps, I earned a teaching credential at the University of California, Berkeley and taught in schools in Hawaii and California. Along the way, I studied web development and spent five years building websites for nonprofits and small businesses. More recently, I spent over eight years at Charles Schwab & Co., Inc. in product management and marketing.
While at Schwab, I joined the leadership team of an “intrapreneurial” environmental group rekindling a spark to work on important issues and drive change – which led me to Net Impact.
Net Impact has helped me:
Stay optimistic.
When I need to relax, I:
Get outside and run or hike.
I never leave the house without:
Knowing where I’m going!
The part of my job that keeps me heading to work each day is:
The opportunity to change the world for the better.
