Sarah Burke-Gorewitz
Senior Manager, Corporate & Donor Relations

I passionately believe that if all organizations were run by people with a “Net Impact” frame of mind, we would absolutely have a more sustainable and equitable world. So it’s pretty awesome that I get to spend every day with people who share that vision and who are actively working to get us there. I like to think of myself as senior manager of “Corporate and Donor Love,” working to build and sustain mutually beneficial relationships with our corporate, philanthropic, and individual funders.
As a college senior who knew vaguely that I wanted to do something that would make the world better rather than adding to our problems, I was thrilled to discover that there was a whole different way of doing business – of integrating social and environmental impact into day-to-day business activities – and a long-awaited light bulb went off.
I’ve been at Net Impact since 2008, following up a year-long post-college journey through South America. I graduated from UC Santa Barbara with a double major in Communication and Sociology, in addition to mastering the delicate art of work/life balance.
I grew up wanting to be:
An animator for Walt Disney.
When I need to relax, I:
Go for a walk.
What surprises me most about my career path is:
That I’m actually working in the field I set out to be in when I graduated college.
