    Fellowships


    Associate, Corporate & Donor Relations

    Reporting to the Manager, Corporate & Donor Relations and working closely with the other members of the Development Team, the Associate, Corporate & Donor Relations plays an important role in Net Impact’s success through enabling the development of strong corporate partnerships and new sources of funding.  The associate will have a tremendous opportunity to learn how organizations are approaching corporate citizenship and how Net Impact is building a movement that will help them make improving the world a more integral part of how they operate.

    Specific responsibilities include:

    Corporate development

    • Conduct research to equip development team members to effectively represent Net Impact in discussions with funders and prospects by understanding their interests and connections with Net Impact’s mission.
    • Assist in building and maintaining overall corporate prospect list by constantly scanning media and peer organizations
    • Support development team members in writing communications to prospects and sponsors
    • Customize presentations and proposals for corporate sponsors and prospects

    Sponsor stewardship

    • Track, manage, and implement benefits for corporate sponsors
    • Request invoices, monitor collections, enter and track revenue in appropriate places
    • Maintain and optimize development’s use of our salesforce.com database through data management and report generation

    Foundation and individual development

    • Research and qualify potential individual donors
    • With Director, Coporate & Donor Relations, manage foundation stewardship, including cultivation of current funders, grant reporting, and staff prioritization of development activities
    • Research and maintain  a pipeline of foundations prospects designed to achieve our proposal goals, including an understanding of the potential fit with foundation’s objectives and their application processes
    • Contribute to grant and report writing

    Annual Conference

    • Support stewardship of funders at the Net Impact Conference, including speaker placement, panel calls, communications and VIP events

    Required Qualifications

    • BA/BS degree; 1-2 years of professional experience preferred
    • High standards and exceptional attention to detail, especially in written communication
    • Strong customer service orientation. Track record of consistently going above and beyond to deliver excellence and results
    • Demonstrated analysis and research skills
    • Outstanding organizational and project management skills
    • Flexible, positive, and entrepreneurial attitude
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively; take initiative and risks; and approach problems creatively
    • Computer-proficiency, particularly MS Office.  Experience and comfort using a database management system (CRM), Adobe Creative Suite, HTML, and other experience a plus
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-oriented, rapidly changing environment
    • A collaborative work style and the ability to either take direction or work independently as the situation requires

    Senior Manager, Web & CRM

    The Senior Manager, Web & CRM is a new full-time position based in San Francisco, CA. This person will help us to achieve our new digital vision, and support our online and offline communities, awareness campaigns and other cross-organizational activities. He or she will be joining the organization at an exciting time during which we are redesigning and re-launching our website, and will play a leading role to ensure it's a platform with robust tools and rich, dynamic content that inspire and inform people how to make a difference through their careers.

    This individual will also be responsible for the ongoing administration of the organization’s CRM database, which is used to track members, donors, corporate partners, campaigns, and other contacts. The Salesforce.com database is deeply integrated with our website. The Senior Manager, Web & CRM will report to the Director of Digital & Marketing.

    Responsibilities

    Website Management

    As the website manager, this individual will play a pivotal role in helping to shape and grow the organization’s digital presence, and will support our existing platform. He or she will act as a strategic consultant to the Net Impact team across the organization to expand our “digital thinking” and shape our online presence.

    • Site Development & Management
      • Serve as the lead and project manager on the team of Net Impact staff and external consultants that is developing Net Impact’s new website built in the Plone Content Management System
      • Manage update and maintenance processes and support ongoing content publication and production needs of team
      • Recommend and implement additions, changes, and upgrades, such as streamlined architecture, design and graphic enhancements, navigation improvements, additional tools, and new features that will help achieve the organization’s online goals.
      • Manage the import of information collected from website into database
      • Serve as a training resource to staff and members as appropriate.
    • Reporting
      • Analyze and present appropriate online metrics to track the success of current efforts and to inform future strategies.

    CRM Administration

    This individual will play a large role in defining the vision, strategy and execution of Net Impact’s CRM platform:

    • Administration & Management
      • Manage Net Impact’s database, implemented with significant customization on Salesforce.com platform for 20+ users
      • Maintain high quality data, including regular de-duping and cleanup procedures
      • Track and prioritize ongoing support request and administrative needs of users
      • Develop reports, dashboards, and processes to provide business insights and monitor data quality and integration
      • Maintain solid relationships with external CRM development partners, Salesforce.com and the Salesforce.com Foundation
    • Training & Documentation
      • Develop and maintain training materials and documentation for staff and coordinate new user and ongoing training for the team
      • Assist users with dashboard and report design, configuration and management
    • Planning & Platform Integration
      • Develop and communicate a schedule for future database releases and enhancements
      • Work with internal and external teams to integrate web initiatives into the database

    Required Qualifications

    The right candidate will be a strategic thinker, team player, great communicator, and creative problem solver and a “doer.” More specifically, we seek a professional with the following qualifications:

    • BA or BS Degree
    • At least 3-5 years web development, technical project management and production experience, and understanding of current Internet technologies, protocols, and standards
    • HTML & CSS experience required; experience with Plone CMS a plus
    • At least 2-3 years experience with Salesforce.com; administrative role and implementation knowledge required
    • Strong data manipulation skills
    • Excellent writing, editing, communication and listening skills; marketing experience a plus
    • Outstanding organizational skills and demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines
    • Strong interpersonal and listening skills and ability to collaborate on teams
    • Demonstrated ability to work independently and creatively in an fast-paced culture
    • Commitment to Net Impact’s mission and/or experience working for a nonprofit or cause-related organization

    Fellowship Program

    Net Impact is looking for some bright, enthusiastic recent grads or current students to help us change the world through business. As a fellow, you’ll gain hands-on experience and access to a dedicated network of professionals, which will help you:

    What You’ll Do as a Net Impact Fellow
    Net Impact Fellows don’t fetch coffee – they’re an integrated member of the team, at any given time working directly with staff, members, sponsors, and the general public. You’ll work in a specific program area that’s interesting to you (membership, partnership, development, chapters, conference, or marketing), where you’ll learn the logistics and nuances of that particular function.
