Marcus Chung is the director of vendor compliance and social responsibility at The Talbots, Inc. Marcus leads the company’s effort to ensure that labor rights, human rights and environmental stewardship are protected in its global apparel supply chain. He also engages with corporate social responsibility stakeholders on behalf of Talbots.
Before joining Talbots in February 2010, Marcus led development of McKesson Corporation’s environmental sustainability strategy and had responsibility for managing McKesson’s Environmental Councils, its non-financial reporting strategy and engagement with the socially responsible investment community.
Marcus previously focused on corporate social responsibility strategy and communications at Gap Inc., managing the development of the company’s Social Responsibility Report. In addition, he was responsible for engagement and outreach to the socially responsible investment community.
Marcus has also worked at the Corporate Executive Board, a best practices research and consulting firm. Marcus earned a BA degree from Wesleyan University in Connecticut and an MBA from UC Berkeley’s Haas School of Business.
