Meet Your Community: A Net Impact Member Snapshot

We enter 2013 as a large and diverse community, growing every day. Yet we’re unified by the belief that if we put our values to work each day, we can choose to change our organizations, our communities, and the world. So as we kick off a brand new year, we’d like to introduce you to your larger Net Impact community.

Who are we?

There isn’t necessarily an “average” Net Impacter – because Net Impacters aren’t average! When it comes to standard demographics, we're more evenly split between genders than we've ever been.

And every age has found a place with us; just over half of our membership is 32 years old or younger, suggesting that the next generation of workers really is committed to making a difference through their jobs. With the other half of us over the age of 32, it's clear that the Net Impact community recognizes the value of sharing ideas across generations and giving back.

Where are we?

The short answer is “everywhere.” With more than 30,000 members and 300 chapters across the globe, the real question might be “where aren’t we?” With Net Impact reaching across sectors [and industries], you can find a fellow Net Impacter almost everywhere you go.

How are we changing the world?

Whether it’s helping our employer completely rethink its facilities footprint, galvanizing fellow students to take thousands of small steps, or reshaping our careers to focus on those in need, Net Impacters are carving new paths each and every day. While most of our working members report their current roles impact corporate responsibility, sustainability, and the environment, we're also making a positive impact on human rights, the economy, youth development, and everywhere we see problems to be solved.
