CSR and Change Management Workshop

Save over $2,000 on a two-day CSR and Change Management Workshop facilitated by the world-renowned experts from the Boston College Center for Corporate Citizenship and learn the skills necessary to change your company from the inside out.
Facilitated by the premier provider of corporate citizenship and change management training, this workshop is designed to help Net Impact professional members better understand their leadership capability, organization, and the change process. Using case studies and participants' personal experiences, participants will gain practical principles and frameworks to help drive CSR initiatives and organizational change.
Member Discount
Net Impact members will receive a $2000 discount on the workshop and be able to attend for only $500, which includes attendance to the 2008 Net Impact North America Conference on Thursday and Friday evening as well as Saturday (a $300 value) or $250 without attendance to the conference. As there is limited space available, we regret that not all applications will be accepted.
Scholarships
Scholarships to attend the training are available for Net Impact members who otherwise would be unable to attend. If you would like to be considered for a scholarship please indicate this when filling out your application.

Workshop Structure
This custom, two-day CSR and Change Management Workshop, which will coincide with the 2008 Net Impact North America Conference at the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, is designed for 30 of our professional members who are seeking to increase their ability to create change within their company. Participants have the option of attending evening conference activities on Thursday and Friday, as well as the full conference curriculum and events on Saturday by paying $500.
During the workshop, participants will learn to:
- Apply a straightforward model for organizational change
- Understand the skills necessary to integrate CSR into and across a company
- Establish a plan to support leadership development
- Strategically assess organizational factors related to change
- Anticipate potential obstacles to change, and better understand how to appropriately and effectively initiate action
Expectations & Requirements
Net Impact expects that upon completion of the workshop participants will
- Pursue or continue a social or environmental sustainability project in their workplace.
- Submit two case studies throughout the year following the course (one in March 2009 and another in July 2009) to share with the Net Impact network.
Eligibility
- You must be a paid Net Impact professional member in order to apply
- Net Impact Central will select participants from completed applications received on a rolling basis until October 31, 2008
- Acceptance into the program will be based on the current activities, desired outcomes and other background information of applying Net Impact professional members
- Due to the requirements of Boston College and because the course is explicitly designed to facilitate interaction between corporate managers with similar responsibilities and concerns, registration is open exclusively to Net Impact professional members employed at for-profit organizations - consultants, media and academics are, unfortunately, not eligible to attend

- When: November 13 - 14 from 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
- Participants: 30 Net Impact members seeking to increase their leadership and change management skills and drive corporate citizenship initiatives in their company.
- Dress Code: Business Casual
- What is the course fee? Regularly offered for $2,495 per attendee, Net Impact is offering our members the ability to attend both the workshop and the majority of Net Impact's conference offerings (over a $300 value) for only $500. Participants choosing only to attend the workshop can do so for $250. Scholarships will be available in special circumstances.
- What is included in the course fee? The fee includes course materials and participation as well as beverages and lunch for both days of the the workshop. This fee does not include hotel and travel costs or breakfast. Participants will also be able to attend the evening events at the 2008 Net Impact North America Conference on Thursday and Friday, as well as the full conference offerings on Saturday.
Facilitator
Julie Engel Manga, Ph.D. Julie Engel Manga, Ph.D., has over 20 years experience as an organization development consultant, coach, facilitator and trainer in the corporate sector. She has worked with the Boston College Center of Corporate Citizenship for the past six years, on the Center’s staff as a Senior Research Associate, Consultant and Assistant Director of Research, and as a faculty member. During her tenure at Boston College, Julie's research focused on the processes through which corporations initiate and build alignment for a commitment to socially and environmentally responsible business practice, and integrate this commitment into core business operations and strategy. She also established a peer-to-peer learning network of corporate responsibility managers and executives from 14 Fortune 500 companies. Julie also leads workshops and provides one-on-one coaching and consultation supporting executives and managers in their role as catalysts for change around responsible business practice.
