What We're Looking For

We're looking for projects – large and small – that demonstrate measurable value added to organizations through social and environmental initiatives led by Net Impact members. By “value” we mean initiatives that are closely connected to furthering the objectives of the organization or community in which they operate. Such value is not limited to monetary gains, but also includes increased employee engagement, professional development gains, waste reduction, and more.

Examples of eligible entries:

  • A workplace greening plan that reduced water and energy consumption by 30%
  • Converting a normally high-impact event into a zero-waste event
  • Implementing a monthly pro bono service event among employees
  • Partnering with a local regulatory agency to implement a packaging take-back program

What We're Not Looking For:

  • Volunteer projects that do not involve an application of business-related skill sets
  • Participation in organization-wide initiatives not started by the Net Impact member or team entering the contest
  • Projects whose main impact occurs outside the eligibility period
  • Projects that were originated/managed by existing CSR groups within your organization
