As Senior Manager, Community, Maggie is focused on amplifying and creating connections and belonging within the Net Impact community. Through a career in international development, social impact focused work, Maggie’s focus is helping people find and feel connected to a community of like-minded individuals who are interested in harnessing their passion for social impact and engaging in making a change.
Born and raised in Birmingham, Alabama, Maggie studied International Business with a focus on Finance and Spanish at Auburn University where she co-founded a club focused on advocacy for access to clean water. After graduation and a year working in corporate finance, Maggie realized it was important to be driven by passion in her work. In 2016, Maggie resigned from a corporate job to move to Tegucigalpa, Honduras to work for a community development focused non-profit, which all eventually drew her to Net Impact’s focus for building networks of passion driven people looking to make an impact. Maggie’s an enthusiast for human connection, and enjoys everything having to do with mentorship and helping people find their passion, too. Maggie is a lover of beaches and lakes and a below average yoga enthusiast.
My most useless skill is: I can unlock in my brain full lyrics for most songs from the late 90s and early 2000s (what a waste of brain space!)
When I need to relax, I: Find a hammock or comfortable place outside to enjoy nature.
I never leave the house without: Chapstick, my phone, and comfortable shoes.
