Ryan Blauvelt

As Senior Marketing Manager, Ryan serves as the “air traffic controller” for Net Impact’s marketing programs and campaigns.

Originally from Palm Springs, CA, Ryan got his Bachelor of Music (Percussion/Drums) degree from Long Beach State University with a minor in Comparative Literature. He worked in the music business until becoming a freelance marketing consultant, serving clients in a wide range of industries including retail, education, and technology before finding his passion for social impact work.

Outside of the office, Ryan prefers to be outside, on his bike or working to attract more bees to his backyard garden.

An active musician, Ryan is a percussionist and Executive Director of the San Francisco Wind Symphony. In addition to its annual concert series, the ensemble strives to offer community engagement activities, arts education services, and composer collaborations: providing such performances at little to no cost to local student musicians.

  • I grew up wanting to be: a criminal profiler working for the FBI.
  • My most useful skill is: general construction - painting, electrical, carpentry, etc.
  • That skill has helped me: live 2 summers in Lake Tahoe, playing in cover bands and learning how to race sailboats.
