This post is part of a new series that highlights ways to keep up with impact-related issues through social media.
As VP of Public Affairs and Corporate Responsibility at the Campbell Soup Company and President of the Campbell Soup Foundation, Dave Stangis has what you might call a full plate. “Every day brings a new set of issues, challenges, and opportunities,” he says. “It truly is like having a different job every day.... In a given week, I work with every single organization in the company -- from front lines to the board of directors, from enterprise strategy to communications and public policy."
So while he doesn’t have much spare time for Twitter, he does a few “quick scans” each day. “I use Twitter primarily to share ideas and concepts with my network,” Dave says. He also mines his feed “for ideas, innovations, and new ways to approach challenges.” We asked this innovative leader if he’d be willing to share his go-to sources for keeping up with the world of corporate responsibility, and these are his top picks, with notes about how they made his list.
And, of course, you'll want to follow Dave, too.
Dave Stangis designs and leads Campbell's overarching CSR, sustainability, and community affairs strategy, including its efforts to drive environmental sustainability and make a measureable impact on the health of young people in Campbell communities. He has helped the company achieve its place on the Dow Jones Sustainability Indexes, the 100 Best Corporate Citizens List, the Global 100 Most Sustainable Corporations, and recognition as one of the World's Most Ethical Companies.
In 2008 and 2013, Dave was named one of the 100 Most Influential People in Business Ethics by Ethisphere Magazine. Trust Across America has named him one of the Top 100 Thought Leaders in Trustworthy Business Behavior for four years in a row. He serves on the board at Net Impact and other organizations.
