Call for Entries: Do You Know a Promising Mind in Renewable Energy?
The challenges facing the energy industry over the coming decades are immense, says Michael Puckett, a graduate student at Yale University. These are messy problems...which require a deep understanding of every aspect of the energy value chain, combined with a keen sense of intelligence and creativity.
There are two types of people in this world: those who are overwhelmed by Michael's words...and those who are inspired. The OneEnergy Scholars Award is for those in the second camp. Michael and five other students were selected as last year's OneEnergy Scholars and recognized at the Net Impact Conference for their skills and commitment to renewable energy issues. Our 2013 round of applications is now open and we're looking for a new crop of students to join the scholar class.
Perhaps you're an engineering major focused on renewable sciences. Or maybe you did a class project or internship on alternative energy solutions and want to delve deeper. What you want to do is wide open; how you do it is, too. This year's scholars will meet the CEO of OneEnergy Renewables, join an inspiring cohort of likeminded thinkers, and gain access to networking and career-building events throughout the school year.
Are you eligible?
- Are you currently enrolled in a full-time graduate or undergraduate degree program in the US?
- Do you have strong academic standing?
- Do you have a demonstrated interest in renewable energy issues?
- Will you be attending the 2013 Net Impact Conference? (To take advantage of the personal OneEnergy CEO meeting opportunities, entrants must be a 2013 Net Impact Conference attendee.)
