With our commitment to driving transformational change, Net Impact applauds the United Nations for their 17 Sustainable Development Goals. This ambitious plan, announced last Friday, is a worldwide effort to address our most challenging environmental and social concerns by the year 2030.

As global citizens in a rapidly changing world, Net Impact recognizes the need for bigger and bolder action when it comes to addressing the most pressing issues of our time.

This is why we’ve been expanding our programming – including the introduction of programs like Impact Food, Impact Racial Equity, Impact Transportation and Mobility, and Impact Climate – to be in line with these global goals announced by the UN.

We, too, see the necessity for greater action in order to eradicate hunger, reduce inequalities, support industry innovation and infrastructure, create sustainable cities and communities, and of course, adequately address climate change.

Inspired by these UN Sustainable Development Goals and by the energy that our network brings, we are eager to develop and grow our impact as an organization, as well as deepening our commitment to these efforts. We believe that our new programming will empower our community to make a real difference on these issues and more.

We need people from all walks of life to bring their unique perspectives and skills to the table. This is why we are looking to expand and become more inclusive, interdisciplinary, global, and cross-sector – as well as more racially and socio-economically diverse. We want our network to become a more accurate reflection of the global community.

It is vital that, as emerging leaders and innovators, we work together to build a more sustainable and equitable world. Net Impact is committed to providing the tools, resources, and platforms necessary to build on those skills, and we are excited to see the impact that will come from our combined efforts.

Whether it’s in your community, in your career path, or on your college campus, we believe that each and every one of us has something to offer as we strive for a more just, equitable, and sustainable future.
