Net Impact Announces the 2024 Chapter of the Year Winners
Each year, Net Impact recognizes outstanding chapters that exhibit our mission to inspire and equip emerging leaders to build a more just and sustainable world. This year, thirteen chapter finalists were selected across five categories: United States Undergraduate, United States Graduate, United States Professional, International Student, and International Professional. These finalist chapters have demonstrated immense impact in their communities by reaching ambitious goals, hosting meaningful events, and educating their peers about exciting and timely social impact initiatives.
Finalist chapters submitted videos and reports detailing their accomplishments to an esteemed panel of judges from across the responsible business ecosystem. Net Impact thanks the following Final Judges for their time and support:

This year’s winning chapters were chosen based on their leadership, community service, and commitment to Net Impact’s values. Each of these chapters exhibited extraordinary contributions to building the responsible business and social impact communities within their higher education institutions and their cities around the globe. US Undergraduate - Central Texas College
The Central Texas College Undergraduate Chapter led by Christina Strohfus supports nearly 50 active members on topics ranging from service leadership, social entrepreneurship, and all things social impact. This year, the club taught entrepreneurship skills to over 50 children with on-campus lemonade stand workshops and helped raise 1,300 lbs of donated food for their local food pantry. US Graduate - Columbia University, Columbia Business School
The Columbia University Graduate Chapter led by Tadesh Inagaki and Francesca Pipino supports 300 MBA student members with a mission to apply their B-school learnings to real-world impact. The chapter organized its annual Capital for Good Conference about social innovation, featuring speakers from the New York Green Bank, Mercy Corps, and the US Department of Energy. The chapter also supports a pro-bono international consulting firm called Pangea Advisors that advises international social impact projects. Watch their submission video.
US Professional - Philadelphia
The Philadelphia Professional Chapter, led by Josh Filer, supports a Board Fellows program that matches its members with local social impact nonprofits. The chapter also hosts monthly events connecting impact professionals in the broader Philadelphia area with responsible business leaders and career opportunities. International Student - York University, Schulich School of Business
The York University Schulich School of Business Chapter, led by Pooja Hawaldar and Lindy Johnston, supported a robust event schedule that engaged business students on sustainability topics ranging from ESG to sustainable real estate and urban development. The chapter saw a 67% increase in chapter membership in 2024 and is now one of the largest student clubs on campus. Check out the Chapter’s website here. Watch their submission video.
International Professional - Edmonton, Canada
The Edmonton Professional Chapter, led by Eugenio Coccimiglio and Demetria Zinyemba, hosted community dinners called “Gather for Impact,” which convened members interested in sustainability and social impact. They also hosted Trivia Nights about similar topics and organized a River Valley Discovery Tour featuring organizations and professionals working in sustainability in the local Edmonton area.
