Account Manager

At Propel, our mission is to build modern, respectful, and effective financial tools for low-income Americans. Over 5 million people use our app, Providers, to manage the benefits they use to keep their family well-fed and healthy, stay up to date on critical government programs, save money and earn income. Propel works with advertising partners to help our users find new ways to save money and earn income. The business development team is responsible for driving revenue and crafting valuable partnerships for Providers users. We’re looking for an Account Manager to support advertising partners on the Providers app. You'll be responsible for leading and managing relationships with advertising partners, encompassing both the tactical (making sure campaigns get launched!) to the highly strategic (deeply understanding client goals and how Providers can support them). We’re a small team, enabling you to make a real impact on the account management and client services function.

You will: 

  • Lead client relationships (from launch through retention / ongoing engagement) 
  • Ensure campaigns are successfully executed, manage campaigns externally and internally (across teams such as ads implementation, design, product, etc) 
  • Proactively suggest modifications and optimizations for campaigns 
  • Provide analysis and insights to clients to drive further investment into our advertising channel
  • Create thoughtful wrap-up presentations that capture campaign results and learnings for partners 
  • Identify opportunities to grow client relationships on a regular basis through client meetings and quarterly check-ins 
  • Help build and refine our account management playbook

What you have: 

  • Some client-facing or account management work experience (account management, sales, consulting, partnerships, etc) 
  • Experience working on a cross-functional project 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to build client presentations 
  • Customer listening skills -- you proactively work to uncover client needs and help find solutions 
  • Sufficient analytical skills -- you are comfortable analyzing client data in Excel and producing professional, strategic reports 
  • Deep desire to help fulfill Propel’s mission of building modern, effective, and respectful tools for low-income Americans
