Greenpeace and Corporations: How Does That Work?

About the Webinar

Greenpeace doesn’t take money from corporations or governments and is fiercely independent. This makes their work with corporations an interesting courtship. When it works, they change the world together. A recent example is the Consumer Goods Forum's commitment to eliminate HFCs. Sometimes long and difficult, other times short and less combative, Greenpeace campaigns often yield fruitful collaborations. Sometimes corporations greenwash, lie and subvert progress, and it motivates Greenpeace to work harder against them. And sometimes corporations are dynamic, powerful and swift allies who inspire whole teams of people both inside the corporation and inside Greenpeace. On this call, Amy shares dynamic stories from the Greenpeace experience and shows what nonprofits and business have to gain from creative collaboration.
