Over the next two decades, demand for energy is forecasted to rise dramatically across the globe, as populations and economies grow at rapid rates. On this call, Tanya uses ExxonMobil's 2010 Energy Outlook report to discuss key drivers of rising energy demand and the way this demand will be met by the various available energy sources, including fossil fuels, nuclear power and renewable energies. Tanya will also provide insight into the challenge of meeting growing energy needs while mitigating global CO2 emissions.
Tanya Bryja is the Energy and Technology Advisor in ExxonMobil's Corporate Strategic Planning Department. She is responsible for assessing energy trends, emerging energy technologies, and related market issues around the world. Tanya is a principal contributor to ExxonMobil's long-term global energy outlook. Tanya has worked in the energy industry for over 10 years in a variety of technical and management positions involving ExxonMobil’s activities in the United States and around the world.
