As the field of impact investing is growing rapidly, it presents a unique career opportunity for professionals with a variety of backgrounds. Net Impact invites participants in the Sustainable Cities Impact Investing Challenge to join this exclusive two-hour event, where participants will be able to network and gain a deeper understanding of what it’s like to work in the impact investing and sustainable development space.

Eric Lee | Senior Vice President, Aligned Climate Capital

Eric Lee is a Senior Vice President with Aligned Climate Capital, an asset manager that invests exclusively in the companies and real assets that are decarbonizing the global economy and its infrastructure. In this role, Eric leads Aligned’s Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) analysis of climate infrastructure and venture capital investment opportunities. Previously, Eric was an investment professional at TriLinc Global, a global impact investing fund manager based in Los Angeles, CA. At TriLinc, Eric led the firm’s ESG & Impact efforts across all portfolios and served as a member of TriLinc’s Credit Committee and Sustainability & Impact Committee. Prior to TriLinc, Mr. Lee worked at Sustainable Insight Capital Management, an ESG public equities fund based in New York, NY. Mr. Lee holds a B.S. from Cornell University and a M.S. in Sustainability Management with a concentration in Sustainable Finance from Columbia University.

Kunle Apampa | Head of Client Solutions, Capricorn Investment Group 

Kunle is Head of Client Solutions at Capricorn Investment Group, one of the largest mission-aligned investment firms globally. Kunle is responsible for the institutional growth of Capricorn as a mission-aligned Outsourced Chief Investment Officer (OCIO). Prior to joining Capricorn, Kunle was a Vice President at Goldman Sachs Imprint, an ESG & Impact Investment platform within Goldman Sachs Asset Management. Kunle spent over a decade at Goldman Sachs, holding several leadership roles within the firm’s Global Markets division as well as the Finance division. Kunle holds a BSc in Chemical Engineering, specializing in Energy, Environment & Economics, from the Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago. Kunle is based in New York City.

Luisa Brasil | Project Officer, Capital Markets, CDP

Luisa Brasil is the Capital Markets Project Officer at CDP, a not-for-profit charity that runs the global disclosure system for investors, companies, cities, states, and regions to manage their environmental impacts. Graduated in Environmental Engineering, and an alumna of the USC Marshall School of Business Master of Science in Social Entrepreneurship program, Luisa has studied and worked with impact investing for 2 years and with impact measurement and management (IMM) for over 8 years. Earlier in her career, she served as an award-winning business developer for pre-acceleration and acceleration programs for SDG-aligned social enterprises in 5 different cities. Born and raised in Brazil, Luisa has lived in the Netherlands, Chile, Egypt, and the U.S. and loves to meet other cultures. She is in search of continuous learning and positive contributions to society through her work, contributing to the development of more sustainable and just communities.

Allison Markowski | Analyst, Responsible Investing, Nuveen 

Allison is an Analyst with the Responsible Investing (RI) team at Nuveen, the investment management arm of TIAA. Nuveen’s Responsible Investing team establishes the firm’s overall RI philosophy as well as guidelines for incorporating RI disciplines in investment decisions and new product development. Allison's responsibilities include leading stewardship and engagement efforts for publicly-traded companies in numerous sectors, primarily Real Estate, Metals & Mining, and Autos, by working directly with corporates to discuss important environmental and social issues. Prior to joining Nuveen, Allison worked as a research analyst, focused on private markets ESG data. She received a BSc in Governance, Economics and Development from Leiden University College.

Peter Lupoff | Principal and Founder, Lupoff/Stevens Family Office

Peter Lupoff is an impact investor, educator and the former Chief Executive Officer of Net Impact. He is also the former CEO of GOOD Institute, an affiliated non-profit think tank, addressing important issues, driving social action and reimagining the possibilities for our shared future by charting a new contract between business and society to meet today’s evolving challenges with regenerative solutions. Peter is an experienced Chief Investment Officer with legacy mentors (Marty Whitman, Izzy Englander); he is skilled in asset allocation, with expertise in impact investing, manager selection, deep value, credit, distressed and event-driven investing. Peter is Founder of Lupoff/Stevens Family Office, through which the family has committed to operating a 100% Impact Investment portfolio. Peter taught Impact Investing and Investment Research classes as Special Lecturer at Yale School of Management (2016-18) and Fordham University (2019-Present) and remains a Fordham Gabelli Fellow focused on Responsible Investing and Business. Student Teams of Lupoff's have been finalists every year 2019-2022, in Wharton's Total Impact Portfolio Challenge. He is a Member of the Impact Investing & Sustainable Finance Faculty Consortium.

Patricia Leung | Senior Associate, Real Estate Impact Investing, Nuveen

Patricia is a Senior Associate on the Impact Investing Transactions team at Nuveen Real Estate. She is responsible for acquisitions and dispositions of affordable housing across the U.S., including direct and joint venture investments. Prior to her current role, Patricia was part of the Product and Development team at Nuveen Real Estate, where she was responsible for the strategy, development and execution of real estate debt and equity mandates across the firm. Patricia graduated with a B.S. in Financial Mathematics from the University of Michigan. She is a co-founder of the Leung Family and Friends First Tee Scholarship and was a 2022 REBNY Fellow. Patricia is also a member of Urban Land Institute (ULI) and Women in Housing and Finance (WHF)

Brian W Donnegan | Taxable Fixed Income Research Associate, Nuveen

Brian Donnegan is a Taxable Fixed Income Associate at Nuveen. Brian is supporting Nuveen’s Core Impact Bond, Short Duration Impact Bond, and Green Bond strategies with a focus on monitoring and analysis of markets and trends to support investment decisions and optimize Taxable Fixed Income fund returns. Previously, Mr. Donnegan was a rotational analyst at TIAA within Audit, Risk, and Compliance. Mr. Donnegan has a BSBA Double Major in Accounting and Finance from Western Carolina University
