Deena Fidas is the Deputy Director of the Workplace Project at the Human Rights Campaign. For the last five years, she has consulted directly with hundreds of U.S. and international large businesses on the implementation of inclusive policies and benefits for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender employees. She has been quoted in the New York Times, Washington Post, Wall Street Journal, Fortune, and other news outlets. Prior to joining the Workplace Project staff in 2007, she worked in fundraising for the American Civil Liberties Union and Hillary Clinton for President, among other clients. Fidas holds a master’s degree in sociology from American University in Washington, D.C., where she also worked as a researcher for the university’s Women & Politics Institute.
