Come on out and enjoy some drinks (especially the Mexican Martinis!) at Cedar Door during Net Impact's monthly Green Drinks happy hour. We'll have Co-Founder and CEO of Gridmates, George Koutitas, there to speak with us about the world's first peer-to-peer energy sharing platform.

When: January 21, 6-8 pm
Where: Cedar Door (map)

Who should join: Everyone! Especially those interested in sustainability wanting to meet others with similar interests. The Austin Green Drinks happy hour series creates opportunities to meet with other environmental, sustainability, and clean-tech professionals in an informal atmosphere; after all, that’s how the greatest ideas are born. We attract professionals who routinely initiate innovative ways to meet the challenges of a sustainable future.

About George and Gridmates: Austin-based Gridmates, the world’s first peer-to-peer energy sharing platform, is facilitating a campaign which benefits Community First! Village, a project of Mobile Loaves & Fishes.

Scheduled to open this spring, the visionary 27-acre, master planned Community First! Village in Northeast Austin will provide sustainable housing and a supportive community for about 240 disabled, chronically homeless people in Central Texas. Help cover a portion of the village’s first-year electricity costs – estimated to be more than $200,000 – by making a donation today. Every dollar donated will help to keep the lights on, power heating and cooling systems, run appliances, and, more importantly, change lives forever.
