Dr. Somporn Kamolsiripichaiporn is the Executive Director of the Center of Excellence on Hazardous Substance Management, a consortium of 4 universities in Thailand with Chulalongkorn University being the lead institution. Since 1997, she has played a key role as one of the coordinating team members of the Greening of Industry Network, an international group of professionals focusing on issues of industrial development, environment, and society, dedicated to building a sustainable future. Her research work focuses on industrial ecology, corporate social responsibility and sustainability reporting. She has actively promoted sustainability reporting as a tool to develop corporate social responsibility framework towards sustainability for Thai industry since the launch of Global Reporting Initiative (GRI). She was also invited to be a member of the working group on indicators during the development of GRI guideline G3.
