Join the Bard MBA in Sustainability program for our twice-monthly dial-in conversation series over your lunchtime featuring sustainability leaders from the New York City area and across the planet.

On April 24th we spoke with Maria Seddio, founder of CorpTalk and the Wash! She will discuss a conversation-based approach to Systems Thinking in corporations, and the methodology she uses “to bring conversations to life in ways that make a difference to people, profit, and the planet.”

Maria’s approach incorporates principles from the World Café methodology and teaches the “architecture of talk” as a core process that supports every business and change initiative. She has managed innovative change and M&A integration for clients that include functional and C-suite leaders in Global 100 and Global 500 companies. Trained in interpersonal psychology and systems theory, Maria received her master's degree in counseling from Hofstra University and is a licensed family therapist, as well as the past president of the New Jersey Association for Marriage and Family Therapy. Maria is also the founder of a participatory platform for social change that uses art and the metaphor of laundry “to honor the significance of women’s work in the building of connected, collaborative and caring communities.” She is actively involved in programs that develop the capacity of women as leaders and enable diverse entrepreneurial ideas.
