In winter of 2016, Clark University's undergraduate chapter applied for Clark's Student Sustainability Fund award and won. The Student Sustainability Fund is a $20,000 fund that is allocated to finance several student designed products that make the campus greener. The Net Impact chapter proposed starting the outdoor recycling initiative as a project and were granted funding. This year, funding was granted for one recycling bin to pilot the initiative, and the recycling bin is expected to be installed by next semester. However, this is only the beginning. Net Impact plans on applying for the award again next year to expand the project and continue spreading real, measurable change.
