Michelle Hohn is a recognized communications, CSR and Sustainability specialist and manages all projects on behalf of Akashic Communications. She is Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) G4 Certified and is a corporate responsibility and sustainability writer to junior, mid-tier and senior mining companies. Michelle’s clientele over the past 17 years have been predominantly in the resource sector, where the majority of her expertise has been stakeholder engagement and the creation of communications, CSR and sustainability strategies for Canadian exploration and mining companies operating in developing countries. Her early career began in the financial industry as a registered financial advisor. Knowledge of capital markets and regulatory reporting requirements as well as familiarity with investors as key stakeholders provides a unique layer to Michelle’s industry perspective, project input, and analysis.

Michelle is an International Women in Mining (WIM) volunteer and also support Pacific Wild when she can – an organization committed to protecting wildlife and their habitat on Canada’s Pacific coast by developing and implementing solution-based conservation strategies.

Michelle completed both her undergraduate and graduate degrees in Canada; she has a BA from Simon Fraser University and received a Masters degree in Professional Communications from Royal Roads University.
