Participation in an event with Tampa Bay Watch, to Clean up America, has inspired me to extend this idea to a local park in my neighborhood. I collected a three-quarter full heavy garbage bag of cups, chip bags, plastic bottles, and even a shoe from my local park.

I think as part of our mission everyone should make a effort to clean up a park or walkways/roadways in their neighborhood. This can be as simple as taking a small bag with you on an already routine walk or bringing tools to assist in getting at that hard to reach garbage.

I took the family for my adventure and brought an extension pole, large bag, and gloves; it was more rewarding with my wife and four year old getting to contribute.
