Working with Dr, Tina Cade and Ni researcher Maggie Erickensen, Reduce/Reuse/Regrow initiative is based on Maggie's research on composting human hair and animal fur at the Texas State composting site. Maggie proposes to Department of Transportation to use the composting hair and fur to embed plant seeds to change the business paradigm after construction. Continuing to reduce run-off at these sites, Maggie will replace the plastic netting and chemical sprayed on which damage the environment and species. Through her launch of this initiative, Maggie will be speaking at an international conference sponsored by STAPLES.
