On Saturday 20th February, at Action Aid hall, Kanifing, Net Impact-The Gambia in partnership with the support of our Activista-The Gambia, our partners, coordinated a successful training workshop on "Leadership, Public Speaking and Campaign Skills". Participants included members of Net Impact-The Gambia, school students and journalists.

Alison Oldfield, Net Impact-The Gambia gave a brief presentation on the organisation. Momodou Muctarr Jallow, Net Impact-The Gambia gave lectures on public speaking. Omar Danso, Activista-The Gambia gave a presentation on campaigning whilst Ansumana Camara trained participants on leadership.

Other contributors included Muctarr Jallow, Demba Kandeh, both executive members of Net Impact-The Gambia; Isatou Jeng, board member of Net Impact-The Gambia and Saiba T Suso, Activista-The Gambia. Additionally participants including Sainey Gibba, Modou Lamin Fatty, Khaddijatou Jallow and Fatima Gomez gave energizers and concluding remarks.

The training was both lively and interactive. Highlights of the event included an inspirational speech by Isatou Jeng and some great energizers, stories both by trainers and participants.
