Interested in energy and the environment? What about innovative business models? Most importantly, do you like field trips?

If you answered yes to any of those questions, we’d love for you to join Net Impact at 9 AM on Wednesday, April 29 for a guided tour of Covanta, one of the world’s largest owners and operators of infrastructure for the conversion of waste-to-energy (known as “energy-from- waste” or “EfW”), as well as other waste disposal and renewable energy production businesses.

Covanta operates and/or has ownership positions in over 40 energy-from-waste facilities in located North America, Italy and China. Its facilities in Haverhill, MA (about 40 minutes away) process up to 1,650 tons of waste per day and sell the resulting energy to an energy wholesaler for use on New England's power grid.

Come take a tour of the facilities and hear more from staff about how they're making waste productive.
