The undergraduates visited the Center for Advanced Sustainable Living (CASL) house on Moss Street in Eugene Oregon. We received a tour of the premises and assisted in the construction of it.

The CASL house is a University of Oregon architecture school project to build a "passive home". It is made out of reclaimed materials and features sustainable characteristics such as a greywater system, state of the art insulation, and an orientation to maximize natural light. Students learned about these features and how they work as well as helped put some of them together.
