In a few short years, the Hult Prize has become one of the most prestigious student competitions in existence today, offering teams unparalleled opportunities and resources. With the goal of educating and engaging students at its core, this truly international prize has created a platform to support the launch of social enterprises that are tackling seemingly intractable global challenges. The Hult Prize at University of Toronto is one of nearly one hundred quarterfinal competitions that lead up to a regional round at a handful of Hult b-schools around the world... and then on to the final, in New York City, at the annual Clinton Global Initiative conference.

This year we are proud to host an inaugural quarterfinal event at the University of Toronto: Hult Prize at University of Toronto. About twenty teams - consisting mostly of Rotman students, as well as students from OISE, engineering and other faculties - will compete by presenting their pitch that aims to solve the crisis in Early Childhood Education. Judging the pitches will be an excellent panel of judges, bringing in diverse perspectives such as from former BNN veteran anchor Howard Green and from SiG@MaRS Director Allyson Hewitt. With luck, one of our teams will go on to compete for the million dollars and a chance to make a huge impact on a wicked problem.
