Net Impact's Climate Ambassadors have given climate policy workshops to more than 1,800 people across 21 countries!

Join us on Thursday, September 22 at 1 pm ET / 10 am PT for our official Climate Week NYC 2022 event, featuring 3 newly certified Ambassadors who are using what they learned in Net Impact's Climate Ambassador program to make waves in businesses and local communities around the globe.

Impact Entrepreneur and Sustainability Consultant

Blerinda Veliu is a sustainability consultant and founder of an organic tea and healthy snacks company in Kosovo. Being a Fulbright Scholar gave her an international lens to researching community resiliency and understanding of grassroots response to the environment and social disasters with a case focus on the Texas/Mexico border. Blerinda is a certified TRUE Zero Waste Advisor, on her way to becoming a GRI Professional and she is always excited to share her know-how in total resource use and efficiency, sustainability practices, and assessment. She is an impact MBA graduate of Colorado State University, Fort Collins, and resides in Kosovo, Southeast Europe.

In 2020, Jenny decided to become an active participant in the adoption of climate solutions. She integrated sustainability in her role at Microsoft, started a B Corp Consulting agency, and became a Climate Ambassador through Net Impact's En-ROADS Course. in 2022, Jenny joined Tradewater as their Market Development Manager. In her role, she partners with organizations to help achieve carbon neutrality through sustainability consultation, emissions reduction, and the purchase of carbon credits. Prior to joining Tradewater, Jenny worked within the technology and hospitality sectors and comes with 15+ years of experience in Business Operations, Market Development, Events, and Community Engagement.

Shiv is an energy engineer with a passion for the intersection of sustainability and strategy - from climate-tech entrepreneurship to corporate sustainability to decarbonization pathways. Before MIT, Shiv developed capital projects at ExxonMobil and nuclear projects at the Department of Energy. He also supported DOE's Technology Commercialization Fund, which helps bring innovative deep-tech from national labs to market. Shiv is also a Terra.Do Fellow and a graduate of the University of Houston.

Ellie Johnston leads Climate Interactive's global climate and energy efforts. She has built up Climate Interactive's engagement programs to extend to thousand worldwide from top journalists to leading decision-makers to school children. Through the design of the En-ROADS and C-ROADS simulators and the array of experiences that are used with the tools, Ellie has pioneered approaches to bridging the gap between science and policy. Ellie has been a speaker at UN meetings, the White House, the African Union, and many universities; and her work has been cited in publications like the New York Times, Associated Press, and Washington Post.

Hilary Manzo is a Program Manager at Net Impact, a nonprofit dedicated to equipping the next generation to use their careers for social and environmental impact. As a Program Manager, Hilary designs immersive learning experiences that aim to translate complex social and business challenges into meaningful public engagement and/or business objectives. She has led programs on U.S. fiscal policy, sustainable fashion, climate change, and youth leadership, and is a passionate systems thinker and lifelong learner. Hilary holds a BA in Global Studies from the University of Illinois - Urbana Champaign.
