Director of Advocacy

Community Health Impact Coalition

CHIC is looking for a collaborative movement builder and passionate advocate to be our next Director of Advocacy. The Director of Advocacy will shepherd a vibrant coalition of 30+ organizational members, 100+ allies, and thousands of CHWs to influence global guidelines and increase financing for community health, thereby creating an enabling environment to win professional community health worker (proCHW) policies in every country around the world. The successful candidate will help us increase overall funding for community health workers and ensure money flows to well-designed, evidence-based programs that affirm salaries, skills, supervision, and supplies for CHWs.

This might be your dream role if you’re a collaborative leader and relationship-builder who is passionate about achieving health for all, including those who provide it. If you are an ambitious thinker-doer who relishes big picture strategy, excels at operational delivery, and is energized by the chance to shepherd the efforts of a growing coalition to achieve shared goals, then this could be the role for you. If the thrill of juggling multiple projects, managing partnerships, investing in interpersonal relationships, and measuring progress is exciting, rather than overwhelming, you are likely to thrive in this role. We envision this role as a one-person team with budget oversight, and are looking for a radically collaborative doer-director with a strong growth mindset.
