Program Associate

Great Lakes Protection Fund

The Great Lakes Protection Fund seeks a Program Associate to support our high-performing team. We want a self-motivated, team-oriented professional to help us spot needs, solve problems, and support our small but mighty team of change-makers.  Duties include data entry and analysis, managing information systems, preparing reports, and overseeing communication content. The Associate will also support our communication strategy, developing stories about our work for external audiences. Our work is dynamic, so this role will also take on additional tasks and help others, including administration and operations, as needed.

We are particularly interested in superior organizational and analytic skills, the ability to manage information and information systems, excellent writing skills, the ability to tell stories, curiosity, a desire to learn, and an eagerness to help support others. The right person has a combination of success in project support, research, analytics, and/or communications. We expect you to have strong Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills, a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, and an eagerness to work with and support a team. We are open to a range of candidates who bring their unique skills and experience to the role.

If you keep track of details, see the big picture, are interested in the environment, and love the Great Lakes—please apply! We are a small team based in Evanston, IL. This role requires regular work in our Evanston office and periodic travel for meetings. We can structure this as a full or part-time position. This fun, challenging, and meaningful role offers flexibility to balance work and personal priorities.

We welcome all applicants regardless of race, gender, or ethnicity. We want to find the best person for the job and will view how your knowledge, capabilities, education, and experience would add to our team.  If you think your background matches our interests, please apply.

Candidates should submit a cover letter describing your interest in this position and a resume to position@glpf.org.
