Environmental Management Systems: Wrapping Infrastructure Around Bright Green Ideas

About the Webinar

Corporate environmental managers spend most of their time identifying their organization’s environmental impacts, generating initiatives to mitigate those impacts (the fun stuff), and measuring and reporting results. But if it’s that easy, then why does environmental performance differ so drastically between organizations? The problem is often that environmental stewardship is “siloed” and “initiative-driven” rather than integrated into the culture of every functional area of an organization. Environmental management systems (EMSs), such as ISO 14001, provide a simple but effective tool for achieving and sustaining this integration. Learn how Kaiser Permanente creates healthy environments by using elements of an EMS and how you can wrap infrastructure around bright green ideas in your organization too.
