The Business of Food Transparency

About the Webinar

Genetically engineered (GE) ingredients are in 60-70% of all processed foods, but most people don't know this because companies aren't required to disclose the information. Numerous polls and surveys show that a great majority of Americans believe they have the right to know what is in the foods they are eating and favor mandatory labeling of genetically engineered foods. On this call, Gary will explain what GE foods are and what they can mean for our health and food system. He will also discuss the Just Label It campaign that Stonyfield and 350+ other partner organizations have launched to support a petition calling on the FDA to require labeling of GE foods.
