NIx Empathy Week has been designed to create new perspectives and find out what life can be like for millions of low-income households.

As Net Impact's Empathy Week continues, you may start to wonder how people in areas of extreme poverty that do not have a program similar to SNAP survive each day.

According to USDA estimates, between 30 to 50 percent of all food produced is discarded. Meanwhile, 1 in 7 Americans have difficulty finding enough to eat.
